Check out these cool reversible hoodies from Grn Apple Tree Clothing. They're set to release on the 15th of January and make great use of floral, polka-dot, and zebra-print patterns. Also being released are a selection of new tees, a travel bag, and head gear and bandanas with matching scarves.

Modus Operandi 2007 Collection

Modus Operandi was introduced by HighSnobiety a while back. Their Spring '07 collection consists of tees only, but what they've got, they've done well. Their pieces were from the start cut & sew and their well-balanced, aesthetic designs with well-chosen colours and tasteful motifs really puts them somwhere in the market where not many labels can be placed.

It looks like HighSnob have been following this label for a while, and I must say as a relative newbie, Modus Operandi seems like a good label to follow. Am waiting in anticipation for a lot more from them!

You can check out the rest of their '07 Collection here.

Thanks to HighSnobiety for the heads up.

New PUMA: Tempo / Dassler Scherenbahn X

Puma's heating it up with a re-issue of some of their classic PUMA originals.

First up is the Tempo, quoted to have been re-released "with some FLAVA!" hahaha. There have been two shoes released, both in suede and different colours. The light pistachio colour constrasts with midnight-black, while the bright orange lights itself up on jet-black.

The next three shoes are pieces under the Puma Dassler selection and are low-cut versions of the bad-ass Dassler Hesselberg Rock. It's a very vintage styled shoe and I especially love the PUMA-curve stitching on the side. Gives it a very classy touch. As you can see, the Scherenbahn X comes in three colours: black on chrome, white on black, and white on white.

Check out the PumaTalk Blog for more pics.

ADIDAS: Originals Archive 2007

BKRW introduces the second series in the line-up for Adidas' spring/summer '07 Originals Catalogue. Their objective is to bring out some of their strongest items from the Adidas archive to re-interpret some pieces and re-design others. I reckon Adidas have got something really cool going on here, and especially lovin' the sleek and sexy Micropacer.

Strider Lea - Launched in 1985, it's been re-created with a leather upper in authentic colours.

Decade Hi Lea - Made its first appearance on basketball courts in 1984. This is a hi-cut reproduction made with a leather upper in the familiar and much-loved colours.

Micropacer - Released in 1984, the Micropacer redefined 'running shoe technology' by incorporating a microcomputer. Now it's been reissued in a full patent leather upper with a matching Micropacer Music Case.

ADI Camo Jacket - The ADI Camo pattern was adopted from an original 80's ski-jacket found in Japan. Adidas chose a M65 military jacket to apply its old school pattern.

Pro Model Vintage - The Pro Model accompanied the iconic Superstar in 1969 and quickly became famous with its unmistakable shell toe. This version comes in a unique crocodile emboss--a classic model for all sneaker lovers.

I admit, these are HOT, and a salute to Adidas for this 'cos I seriously had thought they were losing their touch. It seems that they're taking a different approach from the likes of Nike, New Balance and Vans (among others) and are continuing to release their shoes and apparel in meticulously and independently produced and marketed sales-lines rather than a creative free-for-all, which often, unfortunately, results in a lot of superflity and needless hype.

Images/Info: all thanks to BKRW.

New Oakley Custom

A heads-up from Highsnobiety:

Looks pretty cool huh? First it was Nike ID sneakers, and Burton and their custom snowboards, now, it's Oakley's sunglasses. You can now customise practically all of their models. You can choose to change the colour of the frame and of the lenses, and even choose the kind of branding that you get on them! With this, now, you can even match your sunnies with your outfit :P

Check out Oakley for more.

CASIO G-Shock by Futura

Futura has created this G-shock watch for his upcoming exhibition at Silly Thing in HK Apparently, it's not known whether this is just a one-of-one custom by Futura or a collaberation, so we'll have to wait and see what happens with this watch. It definitely looks really street with the concrete grey and splatter pattern.

For those of you who do not know who Futura is, he is regarded as one of the grandmasters in the pop-art/street-culture world and his work is hugely famous in those circles. Check out his website, Futura Laboratories, for a better feel for his work and to learn more about him.

I would also refer you to Wikipedia, but it seems that there is no article there about him. To anyone who cares and knows more about Futura than I do, I reckon it would be cool to start up an article there dedicated to this man, his life, and his work... maybe? ^^

Christmas @ Northpole.com

Northpole.com is a family-oriented site which debuted in 1996. It's a cool little site that, I think, encapsulates the spirit of Christmas: it's commercial banner-free, child-safe, friendly and colourful. Their mission:

To provide our visitors an enriched Christmas experience through a totally child-safe, innovative, imaginative, and yet traditional holiday website -- with NO direct advertising or banner ads.

Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all from the team: P. B. J & Bread @ Brilliant Establishment! Peace.

A Celebrity Handbag

Just in for you Dior-lovers ;) The bag resting on Monica Belluci's fine lap is the "Lady Dior" bag in black quilted lambskin with Cannage stitching and silver metal 'D.I.O.R' decoration. It also comes in white and pink variations. The theme at the moment for Dior leather products seem to be quilted lambskin and, I must say, they look very chique.

KIKSTYO x Aki Hoshino

Saw this post on Hypebeast that caught my eye... for obvious reasons.

But really, I've heard/read that KIKSTYO have released some very nice kicks and tees in their debut release, and this second coming looks promising too.

Or you could just oggle at the pretty half-naked Japanese girl. It's win-win.

Go to KIKSTYO's website for more pics.

Thanks to Hypebeast for the eye-catching heads up (no pun intended you sick monkies).

BAPE Spring/Summer 2007 Catalog

ADIDAS Originals: Materials of the World 2007

Earlier this year, I posted about the ADIDAS Materials of the World series that Adidas were releasing. The Indonesia release for 2006 was mouth-watering, and now the guys at BKRW Magazine have come up with previews of the next 7 sets in the series due to drop in 2007. Below are pics of the Japan set. Check out BKRW for more pics and more detail about each country's design. These just look so damn sweet.
